What is Auto Enhance?

Andrew Machado

Since ProBlogger’s great post about How To Use Apture we have been receiving a wealth of emails and questions about Apture’s feature set.  Well today I wanted to talk a little bit about what is Apture Auto Enhance.

Apture Hero

What is Auto Enhance?

Auto Enhance is the quickest way to use Apture on your site.  You simply check one box when either registering or if you already have Apture simply Login.

Once enabled outbound links to popular sites are automatically enhanced with Apture so your readers can view the contents of the outbound link without leaving your site.  You have to do zero additional effort while writing your posts for this feature to work and you get all of the SEO benefit of outbound links.

What Can Auto Enhance Do For You?

Instead of your users leaving your site when you link to an article about Seal, they can simply view it right on your site.

Maybe you wanted to link your user to the Twitter Stream of Chris Johnson, the best running back in the National Football League.

Or better yet you saw a great commercial the other night for Avatar and wanted your reader’s to see it without having to embed the video on your blog.

How To Embed a Single Tweet on Your Blog

Andrew Machado

Facebook 3.0 for iPhone is officially out.  Notice anything about the link?  Well using Apture you are able to link to specific Tweets and not just a full Twitter stream.

How Do You Do This

1.  First find the particular tweet that you want to show your readers.  In this case we’ll take a look at Chad Johnson’s Twitter feed. Yes the Chad Johnson who is now known as Chad Ochocinco. Seriously that is his real name just look in Wikipedia.

2.  Simply copy the URL from Twitter and paste it into Apture and we will do the rest.

3.  Paste the URL into Apture and click the Go Button.

4.  Apture is going to show you a preview of what the single Tweet will look like.  Feel free to either hit Create Link or add some additional content to your link such as content from Wikipedia or Flickr.

You can get Apture for your site here. It’s free for all bloggers.
