Public Enemies a tale of two films
Public Enemies just hit theaters and the reviews are pouring in. The film stars Johnny Depp and is based the book Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933–34 by Bryan Burrough. The term “Public Enemies” first came into popularity in 1930 in reference to none other than the notorious Al Capone.
Above is the full theatrical trailer along with links to the Wikipedia entry for the movie along with what people are saying about it on Twitter.
However, this is not the first film called Public Enemies. Back in 1996 a film of the same title debuted starting none other than Alyssa Milano, who as of today has over 110,000 followers on Twitter! Alyssa’s version was based on the story of Ma Barker, also known as Bloody Mama, and a contemporary of All Capone, Bonnie and Clyde, and John Dillinger. Below is a small clip of the film as well as a link to Alyssa Milano’s twitter profile.
